Cast Film Equipment

Cast film is a non-stretched, non-oriented flat extruded film produced by melt casting and rapid cooling. It can be manufactured in two ways: single-layer casting and multi-layer co-extrusion casting. Compared with blown film, cast film features higher production speed and output, with exceptional transparency, gloss, and thickness uniformity.

Cast film equipment, being used for flat extruded film, facilitates subsequent processes such as printing and lamination, making it widely applied in the packaging of food, medical supplies, textiles, fresh flowers, and daily necessities.

The production of cast film in China started relatively late (in the 1980s) with a weak foundation, but has developed rapidly. Over the past two decades of continuous growth, China’s cast film industry has become a sunrise industry with considerable production capacity and technological level in the packaging sector.
